'Slainte' means 'good health' in the Irish language. It is also the common Irish toast and can often be heard in pubs, when glasses are clinked together in friendship. Birds in early Celtic art symbolise the link between this world and the next.
This carving is made by a process known as Intarsia, which is the ancient art of making pictorial mosaics by laying precious and exotic woods onto a solid wood surface. Seven different woods are used to make these Celtic designs.
Product comes in a lidded gift box as shown.
